Privacy Policy

Data we collect

• Account: your name, email address, and authentication credentials, provided when you sign up or sign in (including via Google).
• Portfolio & tenancy records: properties, units, tenants, rent amounts, due dates, payments, expenses, and maintenance requests that you or your landlord enter.
• Uploaded content: photos you attach to payment claims or maintenance requests.
• Device tokens: a push-notification identifier for each device, used to deliver rent, payment, and maintenance alerts.
• Technical data: basic diagnostic and usage information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

We use your data only to provide the service: to run your rent ledger, send notifications you have not opted out of, process maintenance and payment claims, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is processed

Splitlet runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud SQL via Data Connect, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Messaging). Data is hosted in the European Union region (europe-west1). Google processes this data on our behalf as a subprocessor under its own security and privacy commitments.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your personal profile and the records you own; some records shared with another party (for example, a payment your landlord recorded) and immutable audit logs required for financial integrity may be retained as required.
